Old John "Machine Gun" Kerry must certainly be getting fond of the taste of his Bruno Maglis. Kerry backpedaled of course and huffily asserted that the comment was in fact a botched joke about President Bush. What's interesting about this particular tempest in a swift boat is the tacit assumption, by him and others, that snidely vicious public personal attacks are just ever so peachy keen and fair when directed at a sitting president but dirty pool if directed at military personnel. Perhaps they are and he was preaching to the Bush hatin' choir but if stated Democrat aspirations to increase the size of their big tent are legit then perhaps they should nicely and sweetly ask Theresa's hubby to just please shut the hell up already.
